Jerrie is the CEO and founder of Lyda Financial. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Fox University and has been in the financial services industry since 2004. He has the heart of a teacher and focuses on a collaborative, hands-on approach to financial planning and wealth management. He has been described as thorough, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. Jerrie especially enjoys the educational aspect of his job, helping his clients understand the process and details so they can make informed decisions. He is passionate about education, motivating and encouraging his clients to make decisions that are right for them. Jerrie is an Investment Advisor Representative with LPL Financial and has his series 6, 63 and 65 securities registrations held with LPL Financial and is licensed in AR, AZ, CA, CO, IN, KY, MD, MI, MN, MT, NV, OH, OR, TX, VA, WA. Jerrie also has his Life and Health Insurance licenses. Based on annual production, he qualified in 2014, 2015 and 2016 as a top financial advisor by LPL Financial and was named to their Freedom Club.
Going through Financial Peace University in 2006 had a significant impact on Jerrie and his wife, Becky. "It changed the way I viewed financial products and is largely responsible for me starting Lyda Financial." He and his family have chosen to incorporate Dave Ramsey's investment philosophy into their lives. Since 2013 Jerrie has been a SmartVestor Pro (formerly Endorsed Local Provider) in the Portland and Salem areas for Dave Ramsey, a nationally syndicated radio talk show host. The concept of following Dave Ramsey's "Baby Steps" and being debt free are strategies that Jerrie encourages in his planning with clients.
Jerrie is a Newberg, Oregon resident and lives with his wife and four boys on a small property near town, in a home that he and his dad built. Jerrie and his family enjoy time together playing table games, reading books, raising chickens, growing a large garden and taking trips to the coast. Jerrie also works side by side with his boys providing lawn care services every other Saturday, helping them learn to work and earn money.
