Jerald "Jerrie" Lyda

Jerrie founded Lyda Financial in 2008 with the mission to educate and serve people. He has the heart of a teacher and focuses on a collaborative, hands-on approach to financial planning and wealth management. His clients appreciate that Jerrie takes the time to help them understand the processes and financial details so that they can make informed decisions. Jerrie is passionate about educating, motivating, and encouraging his clients to make decisions that are suitable for their personal life situation. Jerrie is an Investment Advisor Representative with Cross Financial Advisors holding his series 6 and 63 securities registrations through LPL, his series 65 securities registration through Cross Financial Advisors, and he is licensed in multiple states. He holds also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Fox University.

When Jerrie and his wife, Becky, began implementing the beliefs of Dave Ramsey in their personal finances, the changes had a significant impact on their lives. He says, “It changed the way I viewed financial products and is largely responsible for me starting Lyda Financial.” Jerrie was a Dave Ramsey SmartVestor Pro (formerly Endorsed Local Provider) from 2013 until 2018. Jerrie and his family continue to incorporate Dave Ramsey’s investment philosophy into their lives, and he encourages his clients to follow the “Baby Steps” concepts as they work to build their financial future. 

Jerrie lives with his wife and two of their sons on a small property near Newberg, OR, in a home that he built with his dad. Two of their sons, both recently married, live nearby with their wives. Jerrie and Becky became proud grandparents in 2024. 

Jerrie loves spending time with his family playing table games and disc golf, reading, raising chickens, growing their apple trees, grapes and garden, taking road trips, and going to the beach.
